When to write to us
- A market on our pages has moved, shrunk or stopped trading, or its hours have changed.
- A dish is described wrongly, or the town it is linked to is wrong.
- A festival date, harvest month or recognition (heritage, geographical indication) has changed.
- You know a press or official source we should read.
- You have a question about delta food that our pages do not answer.
What to send with a correction
A correction is quickest to check when it comes with: the page and section; what the page says; what you saw, and when you saw it; and, if possible, a link to a source — an official notice, a newspaper report or a photograph of a sign with its date. We change pages only after checking a source, so a link saves time.
If you are a cook, a stallholder or a producer and something we wrote about your dish or product is wrong, tell us what it should say and why. We will check it like any other correction.
Suggesting a source or a dish
We read more than we publish, and readers often know of a report we missed: a provincial notice about a market, a newspaper piece on a craft village, a festival programme. Send the link and a line on why it matters. If you think a dish belongs in our table of dishes by town, tell us the dish, the town it is linked to, and where you have seen it written about; we add a dish only when we can cite a source.
Questions are welcome too — what a dish on a menu is, when a fruit is in season, whether a market still trades. If the answer is useful to other readers, we may add it to the relevant page without your name.
What we cannot help with
Mekong Cuisine is an information site. It does not sell tours, classes or food, takes no bookings, and cannot answer on behalf of a restaurant, market, boat or producer. For opening hours, prices or orders, contact the business directly. We do not pass your message or your details to any business.
